Welcome to First Grade!
Hello! My name is Megan Quick and I have the pleasure of being your child’s teacher this year.
Here is a little background information on me and my experiences.
I grew up in a small town right outside of Chicago. I attended Eastern Michigan University and
earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Reading and Language
Arts. During college, I had many experiences that helped shape the educator I am today. I
worked as a teacher’s assistant at the preschool @ EMU and at a preschool in Chicago during
the summers. I also worked as an assistant coordinator for an amazing program called Bright
Futures at Perry Early Learning Center in Ypsilanti. I am forever grateful for each student,
mentor, teacher, and parent that has taught and supported me along my journey.
First grade is such an important and exciting year for our Cougars! I am looking forward to
working together as partners in your child’s growth and development in first grade this year.
